The Telegraph: Where to buy a ski chalet for half the price

Haus Jakob - Ski chalet for sale in Fieberbrunn
Alpine Marketing

In The Telegraph’s Property section this week, Nicola Venning heads off-piste to find cheap ski chalets for sale in the best Alpine ski resorts.

Fieberbrunn, which recently connected to the fabulous Saalbach-Hinterglemm Ski Circus, is featured at the forefront of The Telegraph’s article. Fieberbrunn is directly connected to the Ski Circus and is a gateway to 270km of pistes. This is officially one of the most modern, lift-linked ski areas in Europe. Additionally, Fieberbrunn is only 70 minutes’ drive from Salzburg Airport and 90 minutes’ drive from Innsbruck Airport. So access couldn’t be easier!

Ski property for sale in Fieberbrunn is cheaper than in famous Saalbach, but prices are sure to continue growing. With a second expansion phase planned for the ski area, we could soon see connections to Zell am See and Kaprun, too. Once the second phase is complete, this ski resort will boast an area of 380km of linked pistes – the 3rd largest in the world! The Fieberbrunn lift company has invested around €20m and it is sure to launch the entire region in terms of growth and value.

In Nicola’s article (link below), our director Jessica Delaney explains some of the attractions to hidden-gem resorts: “These outlying resorts are not as touristy, and are where the locals go to ski, which gives them an authentic feel”.
