Four Seasons in Kaprun

Alpine Marketing

Kaprun is internationally renowned for it’s year-round skiing and traditional Austrian charm. This season one of our best ski properties for sale in Kaprun has been the Glockner Retreat – selling out more than 50% of its apartments in record time. There is, of course, a reason why this project has performed so well and it has everything to do with Kaprun’s incredible dual-seasonality. With access to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier,  and Zell am See‘s famous Lake Zell there is a huge amount to offer visitors all year round. So, if we were asked to spend one year in an Austrian resort, we would no doubt choose to spend all four seasons in Kaprun…

Winter

For those interested in ski properties for sale in Kaprun, there are a whole host of winter activities. The Europa-Sportregion has over 130km of groomed pistes on offer with plenty of great runs for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. With 51km of blue runs, 58km of red runs and 29km of black runs, there are loads of great runs for you to enjoy. Kaprun has its own small ski area, the Maiskogel. From December 2019, the new K-ONNECTION ski lifts will link the Maiskogel with the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, transforming Kaprun into a guaranteed snow-sure resort all year round and undoubtedly adding to its dual-season value!

Skiing down through the beautiful snow-capped trees lets you truly enjoy the fantastic views over Lake Zell. There are many welcoming Alpine huts dotted across the mountainsides, offering a traditional table service and great hearty food. Thanks to its location this is also an extremely popular cross-country skiing destination with 200km of trails. The region’s modern lift system ensures minimal queues and with night skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing and romantic horse drawn sleigh rides, all the best winter activities can be found here. For an adrenaline rush you could always try heli-skiing or even ice climbing.
