The Ganzer X-press
This winter a 13 million euro investment is set to transform the Bramberg/Neukirchen ski region. The new Ganzer X-press ski lift opens just as Austria gears up for its incoming ski season. Transporting as many as 2,870 passengers an hour up to the Pfeifferköpflbahn mountain summit, it will sharply reduce waiting times up to Wildkogel Arena’s 64km of family-friendly slopes.
The Wildkogel Arena is famously family-friendly due to its abundance of entry-level slopes. There is something for every ability as 85% of its slopes are rated either blue or red and the conditions are often favourable for first-time skiers. Located next to the ski lifts are specific children’s areas and highly rated ski schools. As well as this, the charming Wildkogel mountain restaurant also offers a crèche and a kid’s restaurant.
The Wildkogel Arena
In the heart of the Kitzbuhel Alps, the Wildkogel Arena boasts a lengthy season from December until after Easter. As well as offering 64km of snow-sure pistes, it is perfectly located near to the Zillertal Arena, providing a further 300km of challenging skiing on and off the pistes.
If the skiing isn’t enough, the Wildkogel Arena offers a 14km sledding adventure on the world’s longest toboggan run. The route will take you all the way from the Wildkogel to Bramberg and, whether you take on the course in the day or at night, it will provide 50 minutes of fun for all the family.
As well as offering ease of access, the Gazer X-press has been built to be environmentally friendly. The ten-seat ski lift is powered by an eco-friendly system known as ‘Direkt Drive’ that enables low-noise pollution and energy efficiency. A four minute silent ride in the sky will therefore encourage skiers to take in the stunning 3,000-meter peaks of the surrounding Hohe Tauern mountain range.
The Ganzer X-press has also encouraged the creation of 2.5km of new pistes, all of which will feature snow cannons. This will provide even more reliable snow conditions and improve the quality of the award-winning slopes.
